About Kelli Collins
From librarian to bookseller to journalist to editor, I’ve made words my business for more than three decades. Longer, if you count my many years of reading, starting at age six when I became obsessed with Heidi and Charlotte’s Web. My love of stories of all kinds has led to my dream career: spending my days tucked away in the woods of Northern Michigan, freelancing for indie authors, as well as Amazon Publishing’s Montlake Romance imprint, editing titles that have appeared on the New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestseller lists.
It’s rare that I’m not editing or reading, but during my occasional breaks, I’m usually spending time with my furbabies (three surly cats and one hellion dog, all rescues); watching every baking competition show known to mankind; drinking too much coffee out of my ever-expanding collection of hand-thrown mugs; contemplating the existence of Bigfoot (but not aliens; everyone knows they exist, duh); and traveling the highways and byways of Michigan and beyond with my hubs/lifelong best friend, looking for unique eats, local art, and forgotten nooks and crannies in our gorgeous home state and country.
